I'm trying to set up my schedule and I'm wondering what, in your personal opinion, were the hardest classes you've had to take. To me hardest doesn't just mean conceptual problems but also the amount of time one had to put into the class to be successful. The course will do so by showcasing examples from different application areas, such as those described above. Furthermore, time permitting, the question of simulating randomness by deterministic computation as well as extraction of randomness from weak random sources will be discussed.
The precise choice of topics within the area will be flexible depending on the interests of the audience and active feedback from the students. Theory and application of machine learning algorithms. Approximation algorithms have been actively studied in both algorithms and complexity theory, culminating in optimal approximation algorithms for some fundamental problems; they achieve some approximation guarantees and no polynomial time algorithm can do better under some complexity conjectures.
The theory of approximation algorithms also leads to beautiful connections between algorithms, complexity, and some areas of mathematics. This course will provide an overview of these connections, stressing techniques and tools required to prove both algorithms and complexity results.
This class will examine the broad landscape of cybersecurity from both a technical and policy perspective. It will introduce fundamental concepts of computing and cyber security, including information theory, computability, cryptography, networking fundamentals, how vulnerabilities arise, and how attacks work. In addition, it will explore foundational ideas including definitions, cyber norms, and ethics; identify existing U.
The course will also involve guest speakers, student panels, and writing assignments designed to capture technical and policy insights, and a simulated meeting where students assume different governmental or private sector roles to examine potential courses of action regarding a cybersecurity crisis scenario.

I'm a future CS major. It has "ratings" for some CS classes to give you an idea for how difficult classes are. I sucked at but I had no idea what I was doing at all. If you get DeOrio or Ringenberg for I hear it's actually not too hard at all because they explain the material so well.

If you can, take this class outside of the university during a summer or spring term. If you're lucky, you'll be able to pick an easier section that will barely be any work and in which you'll be able to breeze by and get an A in. If you're stuck in one of the harder sections like the Introduction to Biomedical Engineering and Aerospace Engineeringyou're in for more work than you'd like. Don't pick them, unless you want to have that workload.

Engineering requires physics calc-based electricity and magnetismand I know some people who struggled with that. I think what might be more likely is that you have problems adjusting to the overall workload as opposed to any specific class.
